THE GREEN SOX WAY
The Green Sox program is built on a foundation of great coaching, excellent communication, and solid fundamental play that makes good players great and makes great teams into champions.
We use the Matheny Manifesto as a way to get parents, players and coaches on the same page about how to approach the game and what it means to all of us. Our Green Sox Advisory Board, composed of former and current college and pro players, coaches, and scouts, oversees the program and ensures that best practices are followed.
Irish Cultural Connection
The Green Sox also offer a cultural component, thanks to strong ties to the Irish American community.
The Green Sox program is supported, in part, by the Irish American Baseball Society (IABS). The IABS provides support and guidance, thanks to a panel of college and professional players and coaches who advise and guide the program.
Green Sox players and their families receive free membership to the Irish American Baseball Society. As members of the IABS, they can take advantage of many cultural opportunities, including free Irish language classes and more.
Our Players
Players do not need to have Irish roots to join the Green Sox program, but they do need a desire improve as players, teammates, students, and citizens.
Our Coaches
Our coaches include high school, college, and professional coaches who love the game and want to prepare each player for the next level. We focus our teaching on three core areas: fundamentals, Baseball IQ, and player development.
Our Partners
We partner with established baseball organizations, to provide best-in-class baseball experiences that add to a player's current baseball participation. We are always interested in partnering with youth baseball organizations, teams, and coaches, who share our vision.
